River Rafting - Zanskar River Expedititon
Water thrills & spectacular mountain views

This "special” self-contained multi-day expedition down the spectacular and scenic Zanskar river gorge takes you down extremely desolates and remote gorges with walls arising a few thousand feet from the riverbed. The tour is mostly done in western Ladakh, with monasteries, palaces, villages, hikes and travel as one of the highlights on this surreal place on the planet. Starting the trip on the Stod River, we begin culminating on the mighty Indus river, (which incidentally lends India its name). The Zanskar river expedition is a classic rafting holiday created with, great white waters, amazing scenery and a cultural experience second to none. Also know as the Grand Canyon of Asia, the Zanskar joins the Indus. With Canyon walls over 1000 meters deep in places, big class IV rapids and limited road access. The sight of the huge snow capped peaks of the Greater and Zanskar Himalayan ranges coupled with the occasional Gompa (monastery) overlooking the river is something that will stay with you long after this trip is over. This trip is Undoubtedly a classic, as it epitomes a journey to the last truly lost horizon of our shrinking planet - Zanskar, the "land of white copper" is a trip of a lifetime. We are truly committed on this adventure holiday, where else would you rather be!
